Light of the World is a community event that is organised by local not-for-profit group, Children of Destiny. In its 5th year, this event has continued to rise in popularity as a safe alternative to children and families roaming the streets over Halloween. Gathered together on the Mabel Park High School oval, each year thousands come to be a part of the community spectacular.

Last year in excess of 6000 people turned out for a gala of side-show rides, dynamic local creative performances as well as a diverse range of food truck options. This year, with Halloween on a Saturday, Light of the World grows into a 2 day festival that will go from Friday night, all day Saturday and Saturday night where more than 10,000 are expected to attend.

Children of Destiny holds a variety after-school programs each week in Logan including dance, drum lines, singing and is transforming the lives of children from all backgrounds one person at a time.
